Max Messervy

Founder & Principal

Max founded Oakledge to close a critical gap he observed after 15+ years in sustainable finance. At Mercer, he led ESG and impact investment consulting in the Americas for global institutional clients. At Ceres, he built investor coalitions around climate and social risk. And working alongside asset owners, he advised on sustainable investment strategy, climate transition planning, and fiduciary governance. Throughout that work, Max became convinced that investors had plenty of data but lacked strategic clarity. They needed advisors who could integrate analytical rigor with genuine independence—no product conflicts, no ideology. Just evidence-based guidance grounded in fiduciary duty. At Oakledge, Max leads all client engagements and brings together the specialist expertise each situation requires. He's published on sustainable investment and system-level change, speaks regularly to institutional audiences, and advises leading sustainability initiatives. He holds a Master of Public Policy from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs and an Honors degree in Religious Studies from McGill University

Richard Fontes, CFA

Rich helps conceptualize and implement climate data and framework integrations into the various financial products and services Oakledge offers to the financial space. His 15+ year career in the financial services industry includes time at State Street Investment Management, Wellington Management, and Fidelity Investments. Rich’s award-winning product portfolio includes several multi-million ARR sustainability business lines, and his product designs powered over $2T in assets in ESG funds. In addition to Oakledge, he is a partner at Greenbridge Advisors, advising financial services firms, FinTech's, RegTech's, and climate/ESG service providers on product management and innovation. Rich is a CFA Charterholder and Chair of CFA Boston’s Sustainable Investment Taskforce, holds a MBA from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University and a BSBA from Merrimack College.

Shaili Jhaveri

Shaili Jhaveri is a sustainability and climate professional with expertise in sustainable investing, climate risk, ESG reporting, and energy transition strategy. She has worked with leading financial institutions, including Fidelity Investments and Mercer, helping organizations navigate climate-related risks and opportunities through data-driven analysis, reporting, and strategic advisory services. Her experience spans greenhouse gas accounting, sustainability disclosures, stewardship and engagement, ESG due diligence, and regulatory analysis. Shaili is passionate about translating complex sustainability challenges into actionable insights that support long-term value creation and resilient decision-making. She holds an M.S. in Sustainability Management from American University and a B.Com. in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Mumbai.
