Welcome!

Max's Sign

I spent 7 years advising institutional asset allocators on sustainable investment topics, at one of the largest and most influential investment organizations in the world, eventually leading a team working in arguably the most challenging and politically volatile market for sustainable investing globally. Prior to that I worked or consulted for several sustainable finance non-profit organizations, and in various public sector roles. It was an atypical career path for someone working in finance, but the mosaic of experiences helps inform how I see the world today.

I’m fortunate to work with a dedicated and expert team, as well as incredible strategic partners, who share common convictions and complementary experiences; we’ve all seen and lived a lot over our years in sustainable finance.

We believe in the power of partnership, and that collaboration between institutional actors – when done well – can often unlock far more value than when institutions seek to go it alone.

We also believe in the power of unbiased and unconflicted advisory – the act of standing alongside your clients and helping them to work through their most pressing and tricky challenges – and have built that into the core of how we operate from day one.

If you are here, you’re likely seeking to better understand Oakledge and whether we could help you and your organization to advance your objectives related to sustainability, impact, system-level investing, or related topics. We’ve purposely included a lot of content on this site to help visitors to answer just that question, as we recognize that our model (purposely) does not fit neatly into the existing boxes of the institutional ecosystem.

If you wish to discuss your query further, please do reach out to us via our Contact page, or by email at info@oakledgeadvisors.com. We also send out periodic articles and updates via email and invite you to register your details with us here.

In the meantime, if you’re still seeking to understand who we are and what makes us different, I invite you to read the short essay I wrote here, which is in many ways an accompaniment to our Theory of Change, but from an individual-outwards perspective.

Thank you for your interest, and onwards.
